God I love this picture. If you ever have the extra £ laying around I highly suggest purchasing After The Battle’s newly released book on Monte Cassino. I finally had a chance to review a copy and lord is it a book you’d punch an infant over.
I may well have to do that! I’m currently reading a really good book on the Battle of Crete. A very detailed examination starting from the evacuation of Greece all the way up to the abduction of Kreipe and the surrender on 12th May 1945, and many 1st hand accounts from those who fought!

I like the blog man ! I see there are a few good WW2 blogs going at the moment, is there competition for the better pictures or do you all share them freely, & which are the better ww2 blog to follow ?
I wouldn’t say there is a competition as we all have our own blogging styles. There is a community of us on The Historical Blogs Network who tend to reblog each other quite a lot. Some excellent blogs on there.
My day off work tomorrow shall consist of:
